Aryzah

Aryzah was a female Jedi Master long before Luke Skywalker ever began his quest to restore the order of Jedi Knights. She was not part of Luke Skywalker's group of Jedi, but from a certain point of view 'survived' into the for years into the era of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Order. More than 50 years before the defeat of the Empire at the hands of Luke Skywalker, Aryzah became trapped by the massive black holes that dotted the Tyus Cluster, where time was bent and did not pass as it normally should.

Unable to escape, Aryzah died there, but did not become one with the Force. For some time, Aryzah remained there in the Tyus Cluster as a disembodied spirit. That is until another became trapped by the black holes as well. This man was Kinnin Vo-Shay, a champion sabacc player. Once trapped in the Tyus Cluster, Aryzah recognized that Kinnin was Force-sensitive, and in the timeless space of the black holes, Aryzah taught Kinnin Vo-Shay a rudimentary use of the Force, even though he had no intentions of becoming a Jedi Knight.

Later, Aryzah helped Kinnin escape from the Cluster, and from then on accompanied him wherever he went. In his travels, now sometime after the defeat of the Empire at Endor, Kinnin returned to the sabacc circuit and eventually came across a young man, Nyo, who desperately wanted to become a Jedi Knight, and even helped him obtain a lightsaber from a Herglic gambler in a high-stakes sabacc game. After the game, Kinnin introduced Nyo to Aryzah, and at the introduction, Aryzah noticed that Nyo was Force-sensitive as well. After Aryzah and Kinnin convinced Nyo to join their crew, Aryzah agreed to teach Nyo in the ways of the Force and the Jedi.
