Chamma - Page 2

Chamma thought to himself that if he was to survive this, he would have to do so without the use of the Force. Dodging the dark figure's attacks, Chamma made an effort to defeat the dark figure, slashing at him with his lightsaber. However, the creature was able to deflect every attack Chamma was able to muster. In one last effort Chamma slashed at the figure, and once again, the figure moved to easily deflect his attack. However, this time, as Chamma brought his lightsaber to the figure, he turned off the blade and the figure's lightsaber whooshed by. Placing the deactivated lightsaber next to the dark figure's torso and ignited it. Chamma's blade passed into and through the dark figure's heart ending its existence. With a final howl of defeat, the being vanished leaving Chamma alone in the forest to contemplate on the events which had just transpired.

Chamma did not return with his two Jedi companions. Chamma realized he had given into his anger and used it to defeat his enemy. Over the next hundred years, Chamma spent his time in solitary on the planet H'rrath, and turned his thoughts completely inward, offering nothing to anyone except himself. One day, a Miralukan Jedi named Noab Hulis came to H'ratth, and told Chamma he had come to return him to the Light. At first, Chamma told Noab Hulis that he did not care to hear anything he had to say.

However, Noab Hulis persisted and returned every day until Chamma gave him a chance to speak. Hulis told Chamma a story of three Sith devotees, survivors of the fall of the Sith Empire, who lured three young Jedi to a remote planet. The Sith beings separated the young, inexperienced Jedi and attacked them with Dark Side energies, cutting them off from the Force, and hoping to get the Jedi to give into their fear, their anger, their hatred. But, miraculously the youngest of the three Jedi defeated one of the Sith, and the two others fled, fearing the Jedi to be more powerful than they thought. Chamma realized Hulis' tale was about him, and his encounter on Athiss, and that the Force had not abandoned him after all.

With Noab Hulis' help, Chamma's point of view changed dramatically, and eventually he returned to the order of Jedi Knights. He journeyed to Ossus to train and study the Jedi way for several more decades. Eventually Chamma attained the rank of Jedi Master and returned to H'ratth to train Jedi padawans of his own. Chamma was actually the master of Jedi Knight Andur Sunrider whom he eventually sent to Jedi Master Thon on Ambria.
