Taselda - Page 2

Beldorian however was not the true being behind the control of Nam Chorios. An overgrown droch, known as Dzym, who had gained sentience as he grew older, as all drochs do, manipulated Beldorian from behind the scenes, in conjunction with Seti Ashgad, who served as the planet's ambassador. Since Nam Chorios was such a remote and inconsequential planet, it managed to be overlooked by those who might have a particular interest of the location of surviving Jedi Knights. As was such, Taselda and Beldorian remained on Nam Chorios as the Jedi Purge took place, as the Empire rose and fell to the hands of the Rebel Alliance, and through the establishment of the New Republic.

Over the years, with the isolation that Nam Chorios offered, Taselda began to lose her mind, and appear crazy to many of the town's citizens, who had long forgotten her original status. But soon, another opportunity presented itself for Taselda to overthrow Beldorian's reign. A Jedi Knight known as Callista Ming, who fought against the forces of the Empire, and had lived decades as a disembodied spirit eventually was able to return to the physical world in the body of Cray Mingla, a Jedi Knight of Luke Skywalker's new Jedi Order, after she gave her life to save Luke's. However, as Callista gained a human form once again, she found that she could no longer wield the Force, a devastating realization to the woman. Luke Skywalker pledged his assistance to her in finding her place in the Force again, and the two became romantically involved.

Soon though, Callista realized that hers was a very long road, and one she had to walk alone. Leaving Luke Skywalker with nothing but questions, Callista disappeared in the galaxy on her quest for the Force. This is how Callista arrived on Nam Chorios, its Force presence once again drawing visitors. It was in Callista that Taselda saw the opportunity to defeat Beldorian. Taselda manipulated Callista into attempting to steal her lightsaber back from Beldorian, but she was subsequently vanquished by his assisted Force powers. After this, Callista left Taselda into the wilds of Nam Chorios to continue her journey, once again leaving Taselda alone.

Later, Luke Skywalker arrived on the planet, under rumors that Callista had traveled there. Encountering Taselda in Hweg Shul, she attempted to use him the same was as she had Callista. However, Luke was not as easily manipulated, which enraged Taselda into attacking Luke. Luke however was much more powerful and triumphed over her atrophied Force abilities. The time Taselda had spent on Nam Chorios had ruined her mind, leaving her nothing but the title of the town's crazy woman. Beldorian, Dzym, and Seti Ashgad were eventually defeated, but Taselda remained on Nam Chorios to live out her days in her madness, an unfit end for a servant to the Force.
