The Jedi - The New Jedi Order

When the Empire took control of the galaxy, the last remaining Jedi went into hiding. Fractured and broken, they were no longer able to contest the Empire's rule. Thought extinct, the Jedi bided their time waiting for the right moment to strike. Meanwhile, in the Jedi's absence, the people of the galaxy banded together to form a rebellion against the Empire. A young man named Luke Skywalker would eventually get caught up in the struggle and prove to be not only the Jedi's last hope but the galaxy's as well.

The last of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker worked with the Rebel Alliance to battle the Empire and was crucial to bringing about its downfall. Trained by the last of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker's instruction was swift and focused on his inevitable battle with the Empire's rulers. He, alone, confronted the Emperor and his right-hand man, Darth Vader. The battle resulted in the deaths of both effectively bringing about an end to the Sith as well as the Galactic Empire.

While the deaths of the Emperor and Darth Vader were a huge success for the Alliance, the group would still face many years of battle against the Empire's remaining forces and the warlords vying for power. While Skywalker spent his time fighting these forces, he single-handedly rebuilt the Jedi Order from the ground up. The process was slow and laborious, and his successes in rebuilding the order were overshadowed by the crises brought about by rouge students turned Dark Jedi in their quest for galactic domination. However, Jedi Master Skywalker met these foes time and again to hold together the delicate stability sought by the New Republic.

Just as the Jedi Order seemed to be back on track to restoring its former glory, the galaxy faced an enemy the likes of which it had never seen. Extragalctic invaders know as the Yuuzhan Vong waged a holy war against the galaxy's inhabitants. With seemingly superior technology and firepower, the fanatical group swept through the star systems on a mission of genocide, annihilation, and conquest. Once again the Jedi found themselves on the brink of a purge and were not only fighting for justice, but for survival as well.
