Ignoring an order from Master Kim to retreat with the rest of the fleet, Tap-Nar-Pal began an impossible run to try and clear a path for Ronhar Kim and his troops to make it to safety. But the Jedi Knight was overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the enemy and was shot down by two droid fighters and became one with the Force. Not long after that, Ronhar Kim became one with the Force himself as he was cut down in a hail of blaster fire. While the deaths of Tap-Nar-Pal and Ronhar Kim could be traced directly to the Sith Lord, Palpatine mastery of deception and manipulation would have the galaxy believe that the two were simply a more casualties of the Clone Wars.
