There, Odan listened to discussion and debate on how to deal with the threat of the Krath who had declared war on the Jedi. After the convocation, Odan returned to Ossus to rest and be among his books, and there he warned Jedi Knight Ulic Qel-Droma of the dangers of learning the secrets of the Dark Side. Also, Odan worked with Jedi Knight Nomi Sunrider and taught her advanced techniques of Jedi Battle Meditation, as well as the technique of creating a wall of light to block someone from the Force, temporarily or permanently.

On Ossus, after just such a meeting with Nomi Sunrider, Odan was alone examining his Sith holocron, when Exar Kun, newly declared Dark Lord of the Sith, attacked Odan in an attempt to steal the Sith holocron. Odan made an attempt to drive him away, but with his extremely old age and the power of the Sith behind Exar Kun, his attempt proved to be in vain. Odan-Urr, Jedi Knight and Master, over a thousand years old, one of the greatest Jedi Masters to have ever lived, became one with the Force.
