Sylvar - Page 5

However, in Tott's absence, Sylvar rallied the clan into taking up weapons and returning an attack on the clan that preyed upon them for years. Offering to lead the attack herself, Sylvar preached the Twi'lek's needed to fight for their right to live peacefully. However, before more blood could be spilled, Tott called for a ceasefire from Sylvar and subdued the frenzied mob. Before Sylvar could lead the Twi'lek into battle, Tott returned with a resolution between the two clans according to the Twi'lek tradition. As Tott explained to Sylvar the resolution he was able to procure, one that would finally bring peace between the two clans, he admonished her for resorting so quickly to violence, that the anger within her was beginning to take control. Disagreeing with the Twi'lek tradition, Sylvar requested that he take her back to her home planet of Cathar.

Sylvar returned home a hero, returned home to a monument being built in her honor, one that told her story of her exploits as a Jedi. However, Sylvar also returned home with the anger and pain left inside her. Talking with an old friend and trusted advisor, Sylvar resolved to go on a ritual blood hunt to purge the anger within her. Sylvar requested that Tott go with her, and after expressing his honor in joining her, the two left for the deserts of Cathar, for the lair of the kiltik. Descending deep into the planet, to the lair of the kiltik, Sylvar and Tott confronted perhaps thousands of young kiltiks, all guarded by their enormous queen mother.

However, rather than getting rid of her anger, Sylvar gave into it and walked away from the slaughter just as angry as she had been when she began. Walking the desert at sunset, Sylvar listened as Tott told her she was heading down the path of anger, a path that led to a much darker road, and that Sylvar, and she alone was the only one who could rid herself of her anger. Walking into the setting sun, Tott left Sylvar to her thoughts. Journeying to Cathar's great vast veldt, Sylvar attempted to purge her anger on another hunt, one that saw a fair sized rodent as the prey. However, that hunt, and that blood had not quenched the anger inside Sylvar either.

Far out into the wilderness, Sylvar was tracked by a messenger, bringing Sylvar the news that her acquaintance, Jedi Knight Nomi Sunrider's daughter, Vima, was missing. Returning to Exis Station, Sylvar met up with Nomi, willing to do everything she could to find Vima. However, Sylvar was appalled when she learned that Vima had sought out Ulic Qel-Droma in an effort to learn the ways of the Jedi. The news of this prompted Sylvar to be more concerned with where Ulic was located rather than Nomi's daughter. Finding the scout that had flown Ulic to his planet of solitude, Sylvar 'convinced' him to take her to Ulic. Traveling to the remote planet of Rhen Var, Sylvar set out to confront Ulic and to administer his deserved punishment herself.
